Born and raised here in Calgary and had envisioned a career in dentistry since childhood. After completing his French Immersion Diploma he completed his degree in Biological Sciences with Distinction at the University of Calgary. His aspirations turned to reality when he went to the University of Alberta and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. Sama is the creator and co-founder of Pathways to Dentistry, an initiative that provides financially disadvantaged students with funding and a dedicated pathway to a reserved seat in the University of Alberta’s dentistry program. This is the first of its kind in Canada. In addition, he has volunteered in Guatemala providing dental treatment to underserved populations internationally.

For Dr. Sama, great dentistry starts with understanding the person behind the smile. He takes pride in building genuine relationships with his patients and helping them make confident, informed decisions about their care.   Outside the clinic you can find him exploring the restaurant and food culture of the city, practicing his golf shot, or cheering on his favourite team the Calgary Flames.
